Welcome to Dynamic MMA

At five years old, Coach Vince began his martial arts career in a Judo club in Milan, Italy. At the age of six, his family immigrated to Canada and found their roots in Calgary, Alberta. Unfortunately, his martial arts training was put on hold due to the financial hardships that come with immigrating to a new country.

For many years, Coach Vince fulfilled his martial arts passion through films starring Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and David Carradine. In high school, he was reintroduced to combat sports through the Wrestling program at Father Lacombe High School. At the age of sixteen, he began more traditional martial arts training by joining a Kung Fu studio downtown. After three years, a fascination for high kicks led him to Masters Chong Han and J.J. Lee to learn Tae Kwon Do.

At twenty years old, Coach Vince began volunteering to teach at his dojo. By the age of twenty four, he earned his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and continued working to achieve his third degree.

After many years of teaching at various schools around Calgary, Coach Vince decided to open Dynamic Martial Arts (est. 1995). Starting in a 900 square foot office space in NE Calgary, he balanced working as a concrete labourer by day and teaching three classes per week in the evenings. By 1999, Dynamic Martial Arts upgraded to an 1800 square foot office space next door.

Flash forward to present day Dynamic MMA! We are now operating in a 3600 square foot facility off McKnight and 12th Street. We train seven days a week and offer multiple classes for all ages. Coach Vince loves to stay true to his traditional roots by offering a traditional program for children, but the rest of our programs reflect his combined martial arts training.
